  • Dr. Popalzai will be first female president of an Afghan university

    The Ministry of Higher Education has mentioned that Dr. Parisa S. Popalzai will be the first female president of a university in Afghanistan.  Dedicated to education of both male and female students in Afghanistan, KUMSA hopes Dr. Popalzai can serve as a role model for other young Afghan women to pursue their education and to serve their society.  As an educator, business leader, mother, wife and practicing Muslim, Dr. Popalzai has shown that there is not a contradiction between religious values and the pursuit of excellence.

  • First Graduating Class of the Diploma in English Language (DEL)

    Approximately 60 students were the first class to graduate from KUMSA receiving a diploma in English Language.  They received certificates from both KUMSA and MIC, which recognizes their accomplishment and hard work.  Congratulations to all the students!

  • Khurasan University Registered with the Afghan Government

    01.01.2008
    After a long and involved process, KUMSA received its final approval by the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education to function as a private university in Jalalabad offering bachelors and diploma programs in Business Administration, Information Technology and English.  KUMSA was recognized in an inaugural ceremony in November 2007 in Kabul.
