Grading Policy

Bachelor Degrees:  Our bachelor degrees are four- year (8 semester) programs.  Each course during the semester is 15 weeks long with the 16th week reserved for final exams.  Course grading will be based on course assignments (10%), monthly exams (10%), attendance (5%), midterm exams (50%) and final exams (50%).

Associate Degrees:  Our associate degrees are two-year (4 semester) programs.  Each course during the semester is 15 weeks long with the 16th week reserved for final exams.  Course grading will be based on course assignments (10%), monthly exams (10%), attendance (5%), midterm exams (50%) and final exams (50%).

Diploma Certificates: Our diploma certificates vary from four months to one year (2 semesters) depending on the program.  Most of the courses follow the semester schedule.  Grading policy is also similar to the degree programs.

Our grading system is based on a letter grade and equivalent number system to calculate the grade point average (GPA):

A   = 4.0   (Excellent)

A-  = 3.7

B+ = 3.3

B   = 3.0   (Good)

B-  = 2.7

C+ = 2.3

C   = 2.0  (Average)

C- =  1.7

D  =  1.0  (Poor)

F   =  0.0  (Fail)

Academic Calendar 2008-2009

We have initiated a new Academic Calendar for next year.  Each semester will consist of 15 weeks with an extra week dedicated to final examinations.  Students will have more options to take additional courses or repeat a course they had to miss.  Students will also have the option to take a leave of absence for up to three semesters with the permission of the university.

Tuition, Fees and Scholarships

The  table summarizes our monthly tuition and fee schedule for each program and the estimated total cost.  We have made every effort to keep our tuition as low as possible as we know it is difficult for many families to afford it.  While we know many of our students need financial assistance, we can only offer a scholarship to our top three students of each program.  We offer 20% reduced tuition to our first position students, 15% for our second position students and 10% for our third position students.  We also offer a 10% reduced rate to our female students as we want to attract talented women to the fields of management and technology.  Students with disabilities also receive a 10% discount.  We will be seeking out additional scholarship funds to help even more students in the future.
