To be a world-class institution of higher education and research, promoting management and technical skills, critical thinking and community service, in order to help develop a prosperous and progressive society.
We are driven by the concept of competency-based management education. The concept connotes the development of abilities to manage self, to manage emerging knowledge and technology, to manage the environment and to manage evolving challenges and opportunities. Our programs are positioned within the context of the New Economy. New Economy issues such as technology, investment, human capital, global trade, and global finance provide the major thrust and the core of our programs and activities.
With our linkages to a vast global network through MIC and the establishment of research centers will help create condition for achieving academic growth and contribute to the economic regeneration and rebuilding of Afghanistan.
In 2006, KUMSA partnered with the Management Institute of Canada to build an institute of higher education that was competitive with the rest of the world but affordable to students. KUMSA was registered as a private university with the Afghan government in 2007. Our first class of students began their programs in March 2007.
Easily accessible with public transportation, our facility is equipped with Internet access, well-equipped computer lab, furnished classrooms, faculty and staff offices, and a growing library.
